The Sr. Joint Secretary (Admn), Ministry of Water Resources, Syed Mujtaba Hussain visited PCRWR on 22nd May 2024 along with Mr. Saleem Ahmad Khan, Deputy Secretary (Admn), Ministry of Water Resources. The Director General PCRWR, Dr. Hifza Rasheed welcomed the guests and delivered a detailed presentation on PCRWR’s activities and functions. She briefed about the mandate, functions and focused research areas of PCRWR. She explicitly described the key achievements of PCRWR in addressing the water issues of the country. The DG also briefed the Sr. Joint Secretary about the different initiatives of PCRWR in the flood affected areas and different ongoing projects to tackle water scarcity in the wake of climate change.
The Sr. Joint Secretary MoWR also visited different facilities of PCRWR office like National water quality lab, Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting model, Ground Water Recharge and Wastewater Treatment plant. The Sr. Joint Secretary MoWR showed keen interest in the initiatives taken up by the organization and appreciated the activities of PCRWR in line with National Water policy
