A delegation comprising the experts from BIDR-China and Warm Waters Advisory Group Visited PCRWR Headquarters, Islamabad on 14th December 2022.
The objective of this visit was to discuss the modalities for the design and installation of IoT-based smart irrigation and Fertigation system at PCRWR R&D farm Sialmore.
The participants were welcomed by Chairman, PCRWR and briefed about the current irrigation practices, irrigation scheduling and use of the moisture sensors installed at the farm. The delegation comprised of Mr. Ma Zhiwei & Dr. Shah Fahad Rahim from BIDR, China and Mr. Zubair Warraich from the Warm Water Advisory group.
The experts discussed the detailed process of designing and installation of the IoT system at the farm. They also proposed to have a detailed meeting with the Vice President of BIDR in future. The technical team from BIDR will come up with a detailed design and work plan by February 2023.
