The UN-Habitat ROAP delegation, visited PCRWR on 18th September, 2024. The team was led by Ms. Odicea Angelo Barrios UN-Habitat ROAP, Japan along with Mr. Khalil Ahmed, Mr. Basharat Hussain from UN-Habitat Pakistan office. Ms. Bareerah Fatima, Deputy Director Incharge (WM) PCRWR, welcomed the guests and delivered a detailed presentation on PCRWR’s activities and functions. She briefed about the mandate, functions and focused research areas of PCRWR. She explicitly described the key achievements of PCRWR in addressing the water issues of the country. She also briefed the UN-Habitat team about the completed AF-project and shared the methodology used during the implementation of the task 2.3 under the aforementioned project.
Ms. Odicea Angelo Barrios, appreciated the role and work of PCRWR in the timely completion of the project activities. Moreover, participants also visited water conservation models installed at the PCRWR premises office like Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting and Ground Water Recharge. The guests showed keen interest in the initiatives taken up by the organization and appreciated the activities of PCRWR and ensured to strengthen the mutual cooperation with PCRWR.
