Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in collaboration with PCRWR and MoCC organize 2nd performance Workshop under the project “Enhancing Water Quality Monitoring to Achieve SDG6 in Pakistan” at Serena hotel Islamabad on 20th September, 2023. The event witnessed the participation of Deputy Director Jawad Rabbani from the Ministry of Planning Development, Special Initiatives (MOPD & SI), Country Director Je Ho Yeon from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Dr. Hifza Rasheed, Director General (WQ), PCRWR and Sardar Khan Zimree, Director General Water Management CDA. The event was structured into four key sessions: Introduction to the KOICA Project led by KOMIR, Enhancing Water Quality Systems in Pakistan to Achieve SDG6 Reporting led by PCRWR, Suggestions for Improving Pakistan’s Legal and Administrative Systems related to SDG6 led by K-Water and MIS for KP & Enhancing Water Quality Systems to Achieve SDG6 in Pakistan led by PHED KP.
Dr. Hifza Rasheed, DG, Water Quality presented the role and contribution of PCRWR for local training program as one of the component of the project. She also emphasized on further cooperation with KOICA in all water related development projects. Dr. Hifza also emphasized for the extension of similar projects in Sindh, Balochistan and AJK. Dr. Hifza also recommend the inclusion of CDA water quality management testing laboratory personal to be the part of this activity in future.
