Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), in collaboration with International Water Management Institute (IWMI) Pakistan and CGIAR’s Water Land and Ecosystem (WLE) flagship program, is jointly organizing a Pakistan Water Week 2021 from 06th-09th December. The first-ever event of its kind in the country, Pakistan Water Week 2021 aims to bring together academics, government officials, NGOs, and policy experts from home and abroad to discuss water issues faced by the nation in present age. The conference was inaugurated by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi on 6th December.
An industrial exhibition of water related technologies is also on going with 12 different organization displaying their products. The exhibition was inaugurated by Ms Simi Kamal, Chairperson, Hisaar Foundation. The exhibition will conclude on December 9, 2021.On day 3 of Pakistan water week, a number of events has been organized for mainstreaming youth through poster competition among university students. Water board games competition were held among school children. All the participating students were awarded by the certificate of participation.
